Gov. Pritzker, if you are not already, please give SERIOUS thought to running for President in 2028. The U.S. is desperate for strong, principled leadership & you are the man to provide it.
The Blue State governors have to work together to save our country. Please put aside your personal ambitions for now, get a plan in place and take back state’s rights. There’s plenty of time to figure out 2028, first we have to win back the house and the senate or there will be no 2028. Fight like Hell! Blue States rule!
I admire you so much and am so glad to have an opportunity to engage with you. My biggest frustration is that I just can’t understand how there aren’t even a few Republicans who will put country above Donald Trump. Are they really all that racist, that misogynistic, that cowardly?
I spent 86% of my life as an Illinoisian. Even though I have moved to the West coast, I plan on following your suggestions. You have my support as we need good, decent, people with integrity in government right now. Thank you Governor on helping to lead the way.

Unfortunately I live in a red state. Please know that there are a lot of us that are blue in red states. I send emails and make calls and pray so much that these red politicians turn blue or maybe at least purple. I pray that their eyes are opened. God help us. I would consider voting for you for president. I am left leaning but not a leftist. We must clear out the Christian Nationalists from the government. If you decide to run you have to have all your men and women in place. You have to develop your own project 2028 so when you hit the ground, you hit it running. No dithering allowed. You must have a plan in place with people to implement it and run run run. Go!!
Here is the game plan folks to help save democracy (and get JB elected as POTUS in 2028).
1) Every state has provisions for poll watchers (i.e., people who observe the conduct of elections and make certain the election laws are followed). They may be there on behalf of a party, a candidate, or a ballot issue. If you care about the the conduct of the elections, contact your local elections office & ask about how you can be one. Check with candidates/parties/ballot organizers to see who you could do this work for. There are approximately 95,000 polling places in the US that may be open for upwards of 12 hours a day for 2 weeks. So a massive turnout of Democracy Watchdogs will be invaluable. Even better sign up to be a poll worker!
My Substack includes links to all state chief election officials & local election officials. Look under the Elections tab. I’ll also be doing a detailed issue brief on state laws for poll watchers & poll workers so be on the lookout for that.
2) The Democratic Attorneys General have been rock stars in fighting the Trump Administration. Normally I wouldn’t suggest campaign donations but we need to keep those people in place and/or have solid replacements. So make certain that you look closely at who is running for those positions & how you can help the strong candidates win in November. Donations to the DAAG PAC would probably be a decent idea.
3) My Substack specializes in tracking state/local government issues & election issues in particular. Turnout, turnout, turnout in every federal, state & local election is essential.
4) Republicans have been incredibly effective in enacting laws that make it more difficult to vote. So people have to be experts on current election laws. Check under the Elections tab on my Substack for lots of voter education info. Monitor what your state legislature is doing on election laws & let your voice be heard in favor of democracy!
5) Local election officers will be making decisions soon about where to locate polling places. Typically the public has an opportunity to weigh in on those decisions. Limited numbers of polling places and/or poor locations of them can depress turnout - especially for college students. So stay tuned to this process. Several years ago, the Hays County (TX) elections office was going to have only a skimpy presence on the TXSU campus. More than 1,100 of us signed a petition to add extra polling locations/hours on campus! So get on this too!
Thankyou Governor Pritzker , for standing up for Illinois . We stand with you . We must stop this insanity in the White House . The disgusting disgraceful actions of the “idiot” in charge needs to be stopped. We are willing to do what we can to stop the lowest of low from ruining our country.

You had my vote for Prez after the 2025 state of the state, and have it still.
