We are really grateful you are our Governor. We cannot give up. Thank you for fighting for the return of our Democracy. We also really appreciate the reports from the Illinois Accountability Commission, including identifying certain ICE agents who were active here!

Every day things seem to get worse and it's hard to stay positive. Thank you for a ray of hope in these dark days. I'm hoping you run for president in 2028.

Re: Louisiana v. Calais

From: @Péter Dósa

🇭🇺Noted Hungarian writer and political analyst

“The more I read this ruling, the more horrifying it becomes.

Because this is not just another conservative Supreme Court decision. It is something worse: the legalisation of unequal democracy.

Hungary taught us what happens when elections remain in place but the rules around them are bent until the outcome is structurally favoured. Orbán did not need to abolish voting. He only needed to redraw districts, capture institutions, flood the media space, and make opposition victories mathematically harder. He lasted 16 years.

But in some ways, the US case is even more worrying. In Hungary, this was done by a ruling party with a clear political project. In the United States, the Supreme Court itself is now weakening one of the last major protections against racial vote dilution. The language is legal. The effect is political. The result is brutal.

It’s a sad day for democracy.”

Yes, it is. 😞⚖️

Time to consider changes to our electoral system. Fusion voting. Proportional representation. Multi party system (without major obstacles). We have options. Let’s discuss them front and center. Democrats could lead the way along this path. Be brave. Turn your back on this two party stranglehold that we are living under. Support democracy by considering major changes that a candidate can run on. Give the voters something to vote for. That’s the motivation we need. Time for a change.

You are a hero to me, Governor Pritzker.

Governor, I look forward to voting for you to be our next president and re-initiate our democratic process, agencies, and government. Thank you!!!

Thank you Governor Pritzker for your post. Sadly the six of SCOTUS who did this don't care about people's voting rights that came from the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960's and signed into law by LBJ.

Hard to understand how and why the SCOTUS has been chipping away at this for sometime now, too as they are supposed to follow the Rule of Law and our Constitution.

Their legacies will definitely be remembered for this.

White Supremacists trying to claw their way back to ultimate power by suppressing minorities…. It is so ugly ….

Illinois needs to gerrymander to add more Democratic districts, at least until after the 2028 elections. We must fight fire with fire, otherwise the Republicans will retain control of the House from now until kingdom come.

Thank you for telling the hard truths about today's disgraceful ruling.

Absolutely! We can do this!

The good people of America can win the mid terms by showing up as the people of Hungary 🇭🇺 just did, tossing out Viktor Orbán.

It is time for the ugly racist Trump regime to be “ORBANNED” - Vote them out !

People everywhere in the world are being hurt by Trump’s ugly war. Trump’s tariffs.

We are ALL paying through the roof for food, gas, electricity…. Really everything
